A strong Maori economy, means a strong NZ economy

The benefits of the Treaty of Waitangi settlements on the New Zealand economy are totally underestimated by most New Zealanders. More Maori development means more money staying in and circulating through New Zealand benefiting all New Zealanders instead of disappearing off shore. It’s a no brainer for me. For a more prosperous New Zealand we must honour the Treaty of Waitangi.

A strong Maori economy means a strong New Zealand economy. In a Stuff media report it said, Māori enterprises are making their mark on the economy, growing steadily year on year. There have been over 200 new Māori businesses since 2013. Last year there were over 1,100 Māori enterprises with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment figures estimating Māori enterprise worth nearly $40 billion, and growing faster than the economy as a whole.

The majority of Māori assets lies within the agriculture, forestry and fishing industry. Māori who are self employed have a combined asset base of $6.6b assets and the remaining $12.5b is owned by Māori trusts, incorporations, and other collectively owned enterprises, such as tribal organisations managing treaty settlement funds. Last year there were over 12,000 workers in Māori enterprises.

Treaty of Waitangi settlements identified by the Waitangi tribunal have significantly enhanced all of New Zealand. ONE Party is committed to settling all outstanding Treaty of Waitangi claims honourably. We will work collaboratively with the Rangatira of Hapu and Iwi to complete this process in a timely manner.

ONE Party see a bright future for Maori & Pakeha as righteousness, justice, and truth is enacted through an honouring of the Treaty. The Treaty is actually a safety mechanism given to us by God.
By working as partners we get to keep the wealth in our nation and not cede our sovereignty to outside forces. True freedom will be seen in our land.

ONE Party recognises the ancient prophetic song of the matuhi, the Bush Wren, who, before it passed away, sang over Aotearoa:
Tui, tui tui, tuia, Tuia i runga, Tuia i raro
Tuia i roto, Tuia i waho,
Tuia te muka tangata ka rongo te po,
ka rongo te ao
A cry to all the people of Aotearoa to bind together, to unite.

It is time for a government that is based on righteous laws, steered by truth, that stands for justice and maintains our freedom. It's time for ONE Party.
